You are invited to join us again this Sunday evening (27th March) to stand as Christ Central churches together with our Ukrainian friends in prayer starting 7pm for one hour (zoom details above) 

Though the prayer hour will be hosted through zoom, feel free to meet in groups and then during the breakout room zoom time, you can simply pray in your “in-person” group instead.

This prayer event is being hosted by the Yorkshire Christ Central region of churches, and an invite has gone out to the other Christ Central regions, who are very welcome to join us. Indeed any church or individual is welcome!

Prayer hour Description

This is the third of these prayer zooms, where we will continue to stand with our Ukraine church family during this deeply disturbing and challenging time. As you may know there are 14 Christ Central churches spread all around Ukraine. We will give an update from the leaders of these churches, and hear what to pray for from their perspective. Our Ukrainian friends really appreciate us doing this, and say they are strengthened by our prayers. 

We are aware most of our praying is going on in our individual church settings, though when we sense there is a particular “moment” to seize either within our church family in Ukraine or in the war, we will then galvanise our praying together, and call one of these prayer zooms - hence this is why these zooms are held at relative short notice.

For this Sunday we are aware that in the past few weeks there has been a shift in nature of the invasion, with preparations now being made for a long and drawn out war -  we will be particularly praying against this shift, out of compassion for the further distress, death and destruction that a prolonged conflict will cause.
