Young Adults
Whether you’re a student, a young professional or anyone aged 18–30, we’re here for you. At Freedom Church, we want to help you build friendships, find your place and grow in your faith. This stage of life brings big questions and decisions, and we’d love to walk alongside you as you discover what following Jesus looks like in everyday life.
Studying At University Of Chester?
New to Chester or back for another year? Welcome to Freedom! Between lectures, deadlines and working out what’s for dinner, we hope you’ll find a home away from home with us. Come as you are, get stuck in and enjoy being part of a church that’s glad you’re here.
We’re a fairly informal bunch at Freedom, and students are part of the whole church. You’ll find people of different ages and backgrounds to share life with, learn from and get to know over a cuppa. There’s room to ask honest questions, bring your doubts and be yourself.
Whether you join a small group or get involved in a serving team, we’d love you to bring your ideas and gifts. You don’t have to wait until you’ve graduated to make a difference.
We love Chester Uni CU
We want to equip and encourage you to live out your faith and share the gospel with your fellow students. Being part of Freedom should help you make a difference wherever God’s placed you, including your lectures, your halls and your friendships.
That’s why we love supporting the university Christian Union. We host the Cuppa team for their work in the city, and our lead elder, Dave, preaches at CU meetings each term. He also chairs a group of local church leaders who regularly meet with and support the CU exec team. We’re passionate about supporting God’s work across Chester and helping you play your part in it.
Young Professionals
Starting your career, moving to Chester or finding your feet after university? We’d love to welcome you to Freedom. Working life can be exciting, demanding and sometimes a bit lonely. We’re here to help you find community, navigate new responsibilities and work out what following Jesus looks like in your workplace. There’s a place for you here, whatever you do for a living.
Young Adults Community
We regularly get together for food after church, and all students and young adults are welcome. Generous members of our church family provide the food because they want to bless you. It’s a relaxed chance to get to know each other and chat about literally anything. Expect good food, good friendships and usually a proper belly laugh.
Our young adults Bible study is a relaxed, informal gathering for anyone aged 18–30. We sing a couple of songs, open the Bible and spend plenty of time talking together about what we’re reading. There’s room for questions, honest conversation and working out what it means for everyday life. You don’t need to have it all figured out to join in. We meet on alternate Wednesday evenings.
